Warwick University Invitational 2024

Fantastic team spirit was evident at today’s Judo competition in Warwick. While the results may not have met the students’ expectations, it’s important to note that many of these players are new to competitions or have transitioned into different weight categories and higher levels of competition. Despite the outcomes, everyone had a great day, and the support and encouragement from their teammates, who were present to cheer them on, created a genuine sense of a Judo family.

Results

Owen Langstone: Secured victories in two matches but faced two defeats, ultimately not securing a placement. A promising start to his judo competition journey in his debut event.

Bailey Wilson: Achieved success in two matches but experienced two losses, leading to a non-placement. Despite this, he gained valuable experience in senior competition.

Kerry Maginess-Roberts: Faced formidable opponents and did not secure a placement in the competition.
